Abdullah Bakar completes CAF Safety and Security Workshop
Zanzibar’s Ramadhan Abdullah Bakar has successfully completed a CAF Safety and Security Workshop.
Bakar was among the 53 participants from around the African continent who attended the workshop that took place October 14-15th in Cairo, Egypt.
The workshop was aimed at improving the safety and security of fans, players, and officials at stadiums during matches.
Baker together with the other participants were learnt aspects to do with developing capacity among Security Officers, exchanges on challenges faced by national Security Officers, the importance of safety and security planning and execution phases in all matches and reinforcing the necessity for up-skilling among others.
Seif Kombo Pandu, President of the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) made it clear that since Safety and Security is a big aspect in football, they decided to send Baker to acquire new skills at the workshop in Cairo.
“We are trying to develop capacity and we shall continue to send other staff to attend other workshops,” added Pandu.
President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad presented certificates to the participants on the closing day.
