Zanzibar’s Salum Abdallah scores in Yanga’s heavy defeat to Simba

Zanzibar’s international Faizel Salum Abdallah’s 69th minute goal was not enough for Young Africans SC (Yanga SC) as they suffered a heavy defeat to Simba SC on Sunday in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Simba SC, the 2012/2020 crowned Vodacom Tanzania Premier League Champions brushed aside Yanga SC 4-1 in the second semi-final of the Azam Sports Federation Cup.
Gerson Fraga gave Simba SC a 21st minute lead at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
After recess Clatous Chuma and Luis Miquissone put Simba SC 3-0 ahead before Salum Abdallah pulled one back for Yanga SC. With two minutes to the final whistle Yassin Mzamiru made it 4-1 for head coach Sven Ludwig Vandenbroeck’s team.
Simba SC will now face Namungo FC in the final to be played next month. Namungo Fc defeated All Stars 1-0 in the first semi-final played yesterday.
