Tough test awaits Malindi FC away to Al Masry

Malindi FC will face a tough test when they travel to Egypt to face Al Masry in the return leg of the CAF Confederations Cup last 32 on September 27th.

Al Masry took the advantage with a 4-1 win over Malindi on Sunday at the Amaan Stadium.

Palestinian international Mahmoud Wadi scored a hat-trick in the win, while Hassan Ali netted the other. Malindi FC scored their only goal through Ibrahim Ali.

“We shall need to try and minimize the mistakes in the away game. But it will not be an easy game,” said Malindi FC’s goal scorer Ibrahim Ali.  

Al Masry reached the 2018 Confederation Cup semi-finals, but were losers at the round of 32 a year ago. Malindi FC are debutants in the African equivalent of the UEFA Europa League.
