Zanzibar Premier League: Juma Hussein guides JKU past Malindi

JKU FC remain third on the Zanzibar Premier League log after a 1-0 win over Malindi SC on Wednesday.

After a goalless first half Suweid Juma Hussein scored after 54 minutes to make sure JKU FC picked maximum points at the Amaan Stadium.

The match had been postponed because Malindi FC was engaged in a Total CAF Confederations Cup.

On Monday Selem View SC also proved too good when they humbled Jang’ombe Boys 3-0. Hassan Mgeni scored in the first half before Amour A. Omar netted a second half brace.

JKU FC are third on the log with 15 points from six matches played, while Zimamoto SC leads the table with 16 points and KMKM are second with the same number of points, but a lower goal difference.

Action returns on Friday with Mafunzo SC taking on Machomane United, while Jamhuri SC battle Chuoni FC and KMKM face Mwenge FC at the Amaan Stadium.
