Zimamoto SC hope to bounce back

Second placed Zimamoto SC will hope to bounce back when they face Mafunzo FC at the Amaan Stadium on Thursday.

Fresh from their 3-1 defeat to JKU SC last week in the Zanzibar Premier League, Zimamoto are expected to come all out to try and get maximum points against seventh placed Mafunzo FC.

“We are going to try and win the match to get back to top the table. We need to continue working hard as a team,” said Zimamoto SC striker Hassan Haji.

Victory for Zimamoto this evening will see them go to 22 points, ahead of KMKM SC who have 20 points. Mafunzo who have three wins and three draws from eight games played have 12 points.

The second game on card will see bottom placed Chipukizi FC face 14th placed Mwenge FC.

On Friday three League games will take place with Machomane facing Mlandege FC at the Gombani Stadium, while KMKM SC take on Polisi FC and Malindi SC battle KVZ.
