CAF outlines strategic focus for Women’s football
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday released a strategic focus for Women’s football in the continent.
Released on CAF’s different official social media platforms, the Women’s football strategy will focus on building women’s football foundations, creating clear player career pathways, and professionalizing women’s football.
The body also made it clear that they will focus on five key areas that include; development, competitions, marketing and promotions, professionalism and leadership and social impact.
The strategy serves as a roadmap to guide CAF’s stakeholders on important focus areas between 2020-2023 in terms of women’s football development.
There has been an outcry that CAF has not be giving women’s football a lot of focus like men’s football
Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) has been organizing the CECAFA Senior Women’s Challenge Cup and the CECAFA U-17 Girls Challenge Cup.
