Zanzibar’s Mzee Zam Ali to handle Rwanda, Cape Verde Afcon qualifier

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Zanzibar’s Mzee Zam Ali as a match commissioner next month.

According to communication from CAF, Mzee Zam Ali will be the match commissioner during an Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying game between Rwanda and Cape Verde slated for November 17th.

Mozambique currently top Group F of the Afcon qualifiers after one win and a draw. Cameroon who will still automatically qualify because they will host the Afcon tournament are second, while Cape Verde and Rwanda are in third and fourth position respectively.

The Afcon qualifiers return since CAF suspended the competitions due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Initially the matches were meant to be played in March, 2020.

The other male match commissioner from Zanzibar Muhsin Ali Rajab has not been appointed for any games next month.
