CAF President Ahmad Ahmad tests positive for COVID-19
The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad has tested positive for the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
“After his arrival in Cairo on Wednesday, Mr Ahmad Ahmad presented mild symptoms, and submitted to the COVID-19 Protocal. Today, the results are positive,” said the communication from CAF on Friday.
CAF said they have informed all those Ahmad interacted with especially during his visit to Morocco for the CAF Confederation Cup to take necessary measure.
Ahmad Ahmad has reported got into self-isolation for the next 14 days in a Hotel.
Early this week FIFA President Gianni Infantino also tested positive for COVID-19. Several football administrators and players including Cristiano Ronaldo, Blaise Matuidi, Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini among others.
