CAF to hold Ordinary General Assembly online due to COVID-19 impact

The impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has forced the Confederation of Confederation of African Football (CAF) to have the Ordinary General Assembly slated for December 11th via videoconferencing.

CAF announced this development today. The Ordinary Assembly meant to take place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

“Following the recommendation of the Medical Committee, CAF Emergency Committee has decided that next month’s session of CAF Ordinary General Assembly will be held via videoconference,” said the CAF communication.

The CAF Communication Director, Alexandre Siewe highlighted that the decision was taken based on an analysis of the figures regarding evolution of the COVID-19 in Africa with the trends heralding the start of a second wave in various parts of the continent.

The CAF Emergency Committee aligns with the decision not to lower our guards against the pandemic and to comply with the measures to protect the health of all stakeholders as much as possible.
