Striker Chaouat scores hattrick as CS Sfaxien humble Mlandege FC

Tunisian side Club Sportif Sfaxien humbled hosts Mlandege FC 5-0 in the first leg of the preliminary round of the Total CAF Champions League on Saturday.
The one sided match saw the Tunisian take a 2-0 lead at half time at the Amaan Stadium.
In the second half Mlandege tried to play a highly defensive approach, but could not contain the highly passing Club Sportif Sfaxien team.
Firas Chaouat netted a hattrick, while Kingsley Eduwo and Heni Amamou also had their names on the score sheet to take a big 5-0 advantage before the return leg to be played at the Stade Tareb Mhiri in Sfax between December 4-6th.
Mlandege’s coach Abdul Mutik Haji ‘Kiduu’ said they lost to a very good team. “This is a learning curve for us and we shall prepare well to try and put up a good show when we meet again in Tunisia,” added the coach.
In the other Total Champions League matches played around the region Rwanda’s APR stopped Gor Mahia FC (Kenya) 2-1, while Sudan’s Al Hilal Omdurman picked a 1-0 away win against Vipers SC (Uganda).
