CAF Champions League: KMKM SC to host Libya’s Al-Ittihad in first leg
Zanzibar Premier League champions KMKM SC will host Libya’s Al-Ittihad Club in the 2021/2022 first leg of the first round preliminary round in the CAF TotalEnergies Champions League.
According to the draw conducted on Friday in Cairo, Egypt at the CAF headquarters, the opening matches will be played between September 10-12th.
The winner between KMKM SC and the Libyan Premier League champions over two legs will face Esperance Sportive de Tunis in the 2nd preliminary round to be played in October.
From Tanzania Young Africans have been drawn against Nigeria’s Rivers United, while Simba SC who reached the quarter final in the 2020/2021 competition will wait to face the winner between Jwaneng Galaxy FC and Arrondissement.
Zanzibar’s second team in the 2021/2022 CAF competitions Mafunzo FC will face GD Interclude from Angola.
