CAF postpones Mafunzo SC match in Angola
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has postponed a TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup preliminary second leg match between hosts CD Interclube against Mafunzo SC.
CD Interclube was set to host the Zanzibar Cup winners Mafunzo SC in Angola on September 18th, but CAF has now postponed the match by another 24 hours because the appointed match officials had not arrived in time.
“The match was initially scheduled for 18 September 2021. This follows traveling challenges experienced by match officials, who, until Friday morning, 17 September 2021, had not arrived in Luanda,” said the CAF communication.
The Mafunzo SC team chartered an Al Salaam Air flight and traveled on Thursday evening expecting to play the match on Saturday.
The Angola team won the first leg 1-0.
