Amani Stadium to host Tanzania – Ethiopia U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier

The first leg clash of the U-20 Women’s World Cup third round qualifier between Tanzania and Ethiopia will take place at the Amani Stadium in Zanzibar.

Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) announced that the match will take place on January 23rd.

While the Tanzania team (Tanzanite) ejected Burundi in the second round, Ethiopia saw off Botswana. The Tanzania U-20 women’s team stopped Zanzibar’s U-20 Women’s team 6-0 in friendly math played yesterday.

Africa will qualify two teams to the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to take place in Costa Rica.

The eight teams that qualified to battle in the third round include; Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, Cameroon and Nigeria.
