CECAFA to hold General Assembly in Arusha
The Council of East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) will hold it’s Annual General Assembly on February 25th, 2022 in Arusha, Tanzania.
In a communication dated January 13th sent to Member Associations in the CECAFA region, the Executive Director, Auka Gecheo communicated that the Assembly will take place in Tanzania.
Every Member Association will be represented by the President and the general Secretary.
The meeting is expected to appoint host nations for the CECAFA competitions for the calendar year 2022, confirm minutes of the Extraordinary general Assembly held on August 31st, 2021 in Tanzania and also to receive, discuss and ratify the CECAFA Secretariat set-up.
Last year CECAFA organized several tournaments that included the U-23 Challenge Cup in Ethiopia, CECAFA Kagame Cup in Tanzania, the CECAFA Women’s Club Championship in Kenya and the CECAFA U-20 Women Championship in Uganda.
