KMKM SC host Ahly Tripoli
Zanzibar Premier League champions KMKM SC will host Ahly Tripoli in the first leg of the preliminary round of the 2021/2022 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League on Saturday.
The home side will be eager to get a positive result at the Amani Stadium ahead of the second leg match.
The other preliminary round matches involving teams from the CECAFA region will see Simba SC play away against Nyasa Big Bullets FC in Malawi, while Young Africans SC play South Sudan’s Zalan FC in Dar es Salaam.
In the other matches APR FC of Rwanda will host US Monaster (Tunisia), while St George (Ethiopia) also host Sudan giants Al Hilal. Burundi’s League champions Flambeau will take on Al Attihad (Libya) in a match to be played in Dar es Salaam, while Uganda’s Vipers SC play away to De Bangui (Central African Republic) in a match which will also be played in Congo Brazzaville.
Some teams will not play at home because none of the Stadiums in their respective home countries could not meet the requirements and the Confederation of African Football did not approve them.
